our story

thanks for stopping by! i’m craig. my wife, kara, and i are the creators of miljuu. miljuu (pronounced, mil-you) is derived from the danish word miljø, which means environment. 

with a background in interior styling, visual merchandising, and event design, we definitely understand the impact that our surroundings can have on us. over the years, we’ve sourced many products and have been exposed to a wide variety of aesthetics. however, we are consistently drawn to timeless scandinavian designs and how they can transform any space with a minimal and functional approach. we believe less is more. 

miljuu was born out of the desire to make scandinavian inspired design more easily accessible in the US. our collection is curated with intentionality and selectivity. whether you are searching for form or function, we hope you fall in love with our collection as much as we have.
